Cancelling your Kniholap account
Effective from: 1 October 2026
This is a courtesy translation of the Slovak original. In case of any difference, the Slovak version prevails.
You can cancel your account yourself at any time – in the app and here on the website.
How to cancel your account
- In the Kniholap app: Profile → Settings → Cancel account.
- On the website: right on this page (after signing in).
- By e-mail: write to us at info@kniholap.sk from the e-mail address you sign in with. We will cancel the account within 30 days.

- Personal data: name, e-mail, phone, address, profile photo, “about me” and documents (if you uploaded them).
- Your shelf, books in progress, highlights, notes, bookmarks and reviews.
- Follows, favourite books and books you have on the marketplace that have not been sold yet.
- Devices registered for notifications and books downloaded in the app.
What remains and why
Marketplace orders and payments remain in the system without your name – we must keep them under the Accounting Act (10 years) and they are part of the other party’s purchases and sales. Messages you sent to other readers remain in their conversations under an anonymous name.
When an account cannot be cancelled
If you have an order in progress on the marketplace (paid, shipped or awaiting confirmation of receipt), complete it first. Then you can cancel the account. Cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google in your phone settings – cancelling the account does not cancel it automatically.
